Same house, same trick, different fruit, both setting a tart fruit against something dark. Hibiscus Mahajad uses sour hibiscus tea and mint over a vanilla-amber-leather base, so it stays cool and sharp throughout. Oud Maracuja swaps in passion fruit, adds saffron and Turkish rose, and puts real oud, akigalawood and labdanum underneath, which makes it heavier and far more resinous. Hibiscus Mahajad is the bright one; this is the one that gets genuinely dark.

It goes fast, faster than you would want. Passion fruit is sharp and volatile, and high heat compresses the tart, almost sour opening that makes the first impression, so the contrast against the oud underneath is shorter-lived here than in cool air. Saffron holds and turns more medicinal on warm skin. The oud, labdanum and vanilla base is where you spend most of a hot day, and that part is dense enough to make this an evening extrait in this climate.
