Is Gris Dior the same as Gris Montaigne?

Yes. It launched in 2013 as Gris Montaigne and was renamed Gris Dior in 2017 for the house's anniversary. It is the same Francois Demachy chypre, not a reformulated flanker, so older Gris Montaigne bottles and current Gris Dior bottles are the same lineage under two names.

Bergamot and grapefruit open Gris Dior with a sharp citrus note, before rose and jasmine build a soft floral heart. The base of oakmoss, patchouli, cedar, sandalwood, and amber turns earthy and mossy, grounding the opening.

It is flexible for an office day or a casual day out in Dhaka across most of the year, from summer through the cooler winter wedding season evenings. Longevity and sillage are both rated 4 out of 5, so expect it to stay noticeable without overwhelming.
