Not quite. It is a separate 1997 release, not a re-gendering of the 1991 women's Dune, and the notes differ completely. It opens on fig leaf, cassis, sage and basil, moves through fig wood bark, rose and mignonette, and settles on sandalwood, cedar, tonka and vanilla, giving a dry, woody-green character quite distinct from the aldehydic floral of the original.

Long-time wearers report current bottles have thinned from vintage, with the oakmoss depth reduced under later reformulations, so an older bottle may read richer and greener. Availability also varies by market, but the fig-and-sage character remains the through-line.

Sharp, mostly. This is green, bitter fig leaf and sap rather than the creamy milky fig of many niche scents, amplified by basil and sage, which catches out anyone expecting something smooth. It warms as the woods emerge and reads best in autumn and cooler days. If you like green aromatics, Green Irish Tweed is a natural neighbour.
