How does it compare with Mancera Aoud Line?

Both put rose against agarwood and then go different ways with the sweetness. Aoud Line keeps its oud forward from the first minute and uses raspberry and amber underneath to round it, so the wood leads. Momento buries the agarwood in the heart under tonka and damask rose and opens on sugar, saffron and mandarin instead, finishing on caramel and amberwood. Aoud Line is the woody one; Momento is the dessert wearing an oud.

Does the sugar get out of hand in Dhaka heat?

It comes close, and saffron is the only thing arguing against it. Sugar and caramel both spread on warm skin and the tonka underneath follows, so the sweetness that reads cozy in autumn arrives faster and fuller here. Saffron keeps a dry, faintly metallic edge running through the middle, and the cedar in the base stops the finish going soft. Wear it after dark and use less than the bottle invites you to.

Sugar, saffron and mandarin open this woody spicy scent with a sweet, warm spicy brightness before tonka, rose and oud settle into a rich, fully Arabian heart. The base turns amber, with amberwood, caramel and cedar building a long, resinous finish around the rose and oud.

It’s made for evenings, whether that’s a date, a winter wedding or any occasion where a heavier, sweeter scent suits the cooler air. Expect it to last a very long time and project with strength, so a couple of sprays carry through a whole evening.
