Does DXB smell like a typical Middle Eastern fragrance?

No, and that is the point. Despite being from a Dubai house, DXB has no oud, incense or smoke. It is a bright citrus scent built on orange, mandarin and bergamot with a ginger-and-grapefruit heart, closer to a fresh Western cologne than the amber-oud style the region is known for.

What is unusual about its structure?

The lily of the valley sits in the base rather than the top or heart, where it usually lives. Paired with a clean musk, it gives the drydown a soft floral-fresh finish under the citrus, which is a slightly unusual build for an otherwise straightforward citrus scent.

It dries down to musk and lily of the valley, a fresh spicy profile well suited to a hot summer commute or a gym outdoor session in Dhaka. Longevity and sillage both sit at 3 out of 5, so expect it to stay moderate and fairly close to the skin.
