Is Eternal Vanille a sweet vanilla scent?

Less than the name suggests. Jordi Fernandez builds it darker, with a blackberry top and a cocoa-and-vanilla-caviar heart, but grounds it in akigalawood, cedar and tonka, so it sits between gourmand and woody rather than being a simple sweet vanilla.

What are the unusual materials in it?

It lists several captive aromachemicals by name: Cocoapulse, Ambrofix and Akigalawood. These give it a modern, dry, woody-cocoa character, which is unusual to see spelled out in a Lattafa note list and is part of why it reads more niche than its price suggests.

Blackberry opens Eternal Vanille with a tart, dark fruit note, before cacao brings a rich, almost gourmand turn in the heart. Tonka, cedar and benzoin settle into a warm, woody, vanilla base.

It works for a casual day out or an evening date, well suited to Dhaka’s cooler winter and spring stretches. Longevity and sillage are both rated high, so expect this eau de parfum (EDP) to project well and last through the day. Unisex, with a comforting, dessert-like warmth throughout. AUROME decants this from the original Lattafa bottle in 5–15 ml sizes, giving you room to try it before a full-bottle purchase.
