What is the unusual note in Givenchy Irresistible?

Ambrette. Paired with pear up top, the ambrette seed gives a musky, slightly fruity, skin-like quality rather than a simple sweet-fruit opening. Over a rose-and-iris heart and a musk-cedar base, it makes Irresistible feel soft and modern rather than sugary.

How does it relate to the other Irresistible fragrances?

This 2020 release is the parent formula the whole line riffs on, including Irresistible Nude Velvet , Rose Velvet and Very Floral. They all share the rose-and-pear DNA but each shifts it in a different direction. This is the original reference.

Pear and ambrette open this Givenchy eau de parfum (EDP) with a soft, fruity musk, before rose and iris form the heart, settling into a woody musk and cedar base.

Made for her, it works for a casual day, an air-conditioned Dhaka office, or an evening out through the warmer spring, autumn and summer months. Longevity and sillage figures are not confirmed for this one, so it is worth testing on skin to see how it wears through the day. AUROME sells it as a 3–15 ml decant filled from the original Givenchy bottle, so you can find that out before buying more.
