A warm, powdery gourmand with a milk-tea twist. Bergamot and mate open it, an orris-and-tonka heart adds creamy spice, and a base of white chocolate, vanilla and white tobacco keeps it soft and cosy. Reviewers reach for different comparisons and none has really stuck, so it is best taken on its own terms.

Unusual. Rather than a straight dessert chocolate, it reads creamy and faintly bitter against a lipstick-like iris and the mate tea, which gives 1886 a powdery, grown-up feel instead of a simple sweet gourmand. That is a large part of why it is often called one of the more distinctive Lattafa releases.
