Miss Dior Eau de Parfum opens on iris, peony and lily of the valley and keeps its fruit to a soft apricot and peach, finishing on vanilla, tonka and sandalwood. Essence leads with saturated blackberry and black elder, runs jasmine sambac and jasmine as the whole heart, and closes on woody notes and oak with no vanilla at all. The EDP is the polished daytime one; Essence is darker, denser and built for evening.

It gets jammier, which is the risk with a fruit note this saturated. Blackberry and black elder are already compote-thick in cool air, and warm skin pushes them further that way, so the opening reads sweeter and heavier here than the bottle suggests. Jasmine sambac then expands in humidity as all white florals do. The oak and woody base is the only dry element, and it arrives late; Evening wear and a light hand.
