Not quite. It opens salty and citrus-bright with sea notes, salt and lemon, then turns powdery and soft fairly quickly as the iris and ambergris take over. So it reads as an aquatic at first that settles into something smoother and closer to the skin, rather than staying sharp and oceanic from start to finish.
The salt and ambergris. Instead of a bright calone-style marine accord, Atlas builds its coastal feel from a salty, faintly mineral ambergris over oakmoss and sandalwood. That is why it comes across as a calm shoreline rather than a crashing-wave aquatic, and why it leans more grown-up than a typical fresh sport scent.
Salt and lemon give Atlas a bracing marine opening, herbal davana and iris carry the heart, and the base turns to sandalwood, oakmoss and ambergris for a mossy, aromatic finish.
