A dark cocoa-and-ginger scent. Sage and ginger open it warm and a little spicy, a heart of vetiver and cocoa gives it a rich, chocolatey depth, and a base of tonka bean and patchouli makes it smoky and sweet. So it reads as the darkest, most gourmand member of the Bad Boy line. It is a 2022 release by Quentin Bisch, Louise Turner and Yann Vasnier.
It is darker and more gourmand. The original Bad Boy opens on pepper and citrus and stays fresher, while Extreme drops that for ginger, plum and a heavier cocoa-and-smoke base. So Extreme is the richer, moodier evening version.
That is the cocoa in the heart. Set against the vetiver and smoky tonka base, it reads as a dark, slightly bitter chocolate rather than a sweet candy one. That cocoa-and-smoke pairing is what defines the scent.
Bergamot, ginger and clary sage open Bad Boy Extreme aromatic and fresh spicy, plum and davana sweeten the heart, and cacao, patchouli, vetiver, tonka and incense close a warm spicy, balsamic base.
No longevity or sillage figures on file, but the note weight points to evening and date wear through the cooler months. AUROME offers it as a 3–15 ml decant from the original Carolina Herrera bottle, worth a week’s wear before choosing a full bottle.
