A polished citrus-woody. Grapefruit leads, ginger and ambrette sit at the heart, and a base of ambroxan, musk, vetiver and patchouli gives it a dry, expensive-feeling backbone. So it reads as a refined grapefruit-ambroxan scent built to feel luxurious rather than loud. This is the original 2016 Eau de Parfum.

They are different products. This is the 2016 eau de parfum, the grapefruit-ambroxan one described here. Bvlgari added a separate, higher-concentration Tygar Extrait in 2025, which is a newer and stronger release and does not necessarily share the same notes. Match on the concentration so you get the version you want.

There is more to it than that. The grapefruit-ambroxan frame is the headline, but the ginger and ambrette give the middle some spice and warmth that keep it from being a flat freshie. Whether that justifies the niche price is the main thing wearers debate.
