Lemon, neroli and mandarin sharpen the aldehydes at the start of this Chanel eau de toilette (EDT), before ylang ylang, jasmine and rose settle into a soft white floral heart, and musk with orris and vanilla close it out on a powdery, woody note. Perfumer Olivier Polge built this as the lighter, fresher edit of the original, suited to a Dhaka office day or a casual outing through the warmer months. With longevity and sillage both moderate, expect it to sit close to the skin rather than announce itself.
AUROME sells N°5 L’Eau as a 2–15 ml decant filled from the original Chanel bottle, an easy way to try the classic without the commitment.
