What does Obsidian smell like?

A cool-to-warm woody scent. It opens on a fresh iris-and-citrus top, moves through a leather heart, and settles onto sandalwood, ambrette, cedar and oud. So it starts clean and slightly powdery before turning into a smooth, woody-leathery base.

Does Obsidian contain rose?

It depends on the source. Rayhaan's own listing adds a rose note to the leather heart, while some third-party note lists show leather alone. Either way the rose is a supporting touch rather than a headline, so Obsidian reads as an iris-leather-woody scent rather than a rose fragrance.

Iris and citrus open this Rayhaan eau de parfum (EDP) on a powdery, bright note, before leather takes the lead in the heart, and sandalwood with ambrette, cedar, oud and violet settle into a dense, earthy dry-down. It is built for the darker, cooler months, well suited to a winter evening party or a date rather than office hours. Expect it to project well and last a very long time, so a single spray sees him through the night.
