Spicebomb Dark Leather is the sharper and smokier of the two: black pepper and nutmeg into cinnamon and frankincense over black leather and tobacco, with no sweetness anywhere in it. Corium softens that considerably. Roasted chestnut gives it a nutty, faintly sweet opening the Spicebomb has none of, and vanilla under the leather rounds off the finish. If you want leather that bites, that is the Viktor&Rolf if you want leather that comforts, this is it.

It brings the chestnut forward and the sweetness with it. Chestnut and vanilla both gain on warm skin, so the nutty, dessert-adjacent side of this arrives faster in humidity than in cool air, and the mentholated flash some people get in the first minutes is shorter. Leather, oud and elemi underneath are dry and hold steady, so it never turns sickly. Still a cool-weather scent by design, but it fails less badly in the heat than a straight gourmand would.
