How is Intense different from Salvo Elixir?

Different fragrances that share a name. Salvo Intense is a spicy aromatic: bergamot into lavender, Sichuan pepper, star anise and nutmeg over ambroxan and vanilla, which is the Sauvage-adjacent lane it is aimed at. Salvo Elixir drops the lavender entirely and rebuilds on black pepper, tobacco and pineapple with patchouli, iris and coffee through the heart. Intense is the fresh-spicy one; the Elixir is the dark one.

How does it wear in Dhaka heat?

The spice sharpens and the base sweetens. Sichuan pepper, star anise and nutmeg all intensify on warm skin, so the middle of this is more aggressive here than in cool air, and the bergamot that softens the entry is gone within minutes. Ambroxan gains warmth through the day and the vanilla behind it rounds out sooner than intended. It stays wearable because there is nothing heavy in the formula, but it is a sharper fragrance in June than in December.

Bergamot is the only top note in this Maison Alhambra eau de parfum (EDP), leading straight into a spiced lavender heart with sichuan pepper, star anise and nutmeg, before ambroxan, vanilla and warm amber settle into the base.

Made for him, it moves comfortably from an air-conditioned Dhaka office to an evening out during the cooler winter and autumn months. Expect long-lasting, well-projecting wear, so a single spray tends to be plenty. AUROME sells it as a 9 & 15 ml decant filled from the original Maison Alhambra bottle, so you can wear it for a week before deciding on a full bottle.
