It is the richer, more gourmand version. The original Scandal is a honeyed floral with blood orange and beeswax; Le Parfum strips back to a leaner, heavier core of jasmine, salted caramel and vanilla at parfum strength. So it reads sweeter and more dessert-like, the version for when you want the caramel to lead.

For a conservative office, likely yes. The salted-caramel and vanilla heart is a full gourmand, warm and sugary rather than discreet, so it suits evenings, dates and cooler weather. If your workplace is relaxed you can wear it lightly, but it is happiest after dark.
