Two very different uses of the same material. Tobacco Honey puts honey right at the top with cloves and anise, then runs it into tobacco and vanilla, so the sweetness is upfront and unmistakable. L'Envol buries its honey in the base under iris, guaiac wood and musk, and everything above it is dry herbs, lavender, sage and artemisia. The Guerlain is honey as the subject; this is honey as a texture you notice late.

It gets closer to it than in cool air, but the structure holds. Honey is a note that thickens and sweetens on warm skin, and here it sits in the base where it has the whole wear to build. What stops it is the iris, which stays cool and powdery in humidity, and the artemisia's bitterness up top, which delays the sweetness arriving. Wear it in the evening and keep the application light, and it stays a dry honey rather than a sticky one.
