The darker, animalic Layton. Almond, mandarin, apple and bergamot open it bright, a heart of civet, rose, geranium and cinnamon turns it dirty and spiced, and a base of Laotian oud, guaiac, coffee, leather and vanilla makes it deep. So it keeps the apple-cardamom Layton signature but buries it in oud and leather. It is a 2017 Eau de Parfum.
