It is a warm amber built on a labdanum-and-amber heart over patchouli, Madagascar vanilla, musk and sandalwood, opening with a resinous bergamot-and-lemon top. The name nods to Coco Chanel's Leo star sign and the house lion emblem rather than the animal. It reads smooth and slightly sweet, more polished than raw.

It can read almost animalic in the early heart, which is the point for those who want real character, but the Madagascar vanilla and creamy sandalwood round it into something warm rather than feral as it settles. It lands between a classic oriental and a modern niche amber.
