Bright raspberry and saffron open it with a tart, spicy lift, then iris and violet leaf smooth the middle before a suede-and-leather base takes hold alongside cedar, vetiver and amber. The effect is a polished, fruity leather rather than a raw or smoky one.

It sits in the same raspberry-over-leather family, so if you enjoy that fruity-leather idea this is a leaner, more affordable way into it, with more saffron and suede on show and less of the dense, tarry weight. It is its own fragrance, not a copy.

It can read sharp in the first few minutes while the saffron and raspberry are loud, but it settles into a smoother suede once the base arrives, which most wearers find easy to carry through a normal day. If you are sensitive to animalic leather, sample it first, since the leather here is fairly assertive.
