Rose runs through Aayah from top to bottom – paired with mandarin at first, then joined by sandalwood and orange blossom in a proper white floral heart, before oud, musk and ambroxan bring a deep, woody close.

It is suited to a winter wedding season evening or a date, since the oud gives it real presence after dark. Longevity is rated 5 and sillage 4, so expect this eau de parfum (EDP) to last for hours and be easily noticed by anyone nearby. AUROME sells this Ahmed Al Maghribi Aayah as a 2–15 ml decant filled from the original bottle, a good-value way to try a rose-oud combination before buying the full size.
