A bold rose chypre. Rose, tuberose, mimosa and plum open it rich, a heart of jasmine, patchouli and orange flower deepens it, and a base of oakmoss, vetiver, sandalwood and amber gives it that classic mossy-dry chypre backbone. So it reads as a powerful, old-school floral chypre rather than a light modern floral. It dates to 1988.

It has changed over the years. Longtime wearers report the oakmoss that defined the original has been cut back in later batches, though accounts vary from bottle to bottle, and a separate Legacy reissue exists. If you want the full mossy version, seek out an older bottle and compare what you receive.

It is unapologetically a 1980s power chypre, so it wears bigger and mossier than most current releases. That is exactly the appeal for people who miss that style; if you prefer soft, sheer floral scents it will feel dated, but as a statement chypre it still delivers.
