It is a smooth, leathery oud. Oud and a fresh blue-lily note open it, giving a cleaner, less barnyard oud feel, then leather and patchouli build the heart, over a base of tobacco and amber. The result is dark and warm but wearable rather than harsh. On the brand's own site it is sold as Al Wafiyah Blue Oud, part of the Al Wafiyah line, and it dates to 2022.
It reads as a bold, inky oud up front, though some wearers feel it leans synthetic rather than like fine natural agarwood. Either way it is unmistakably present, dark, leathery and resinous, not a faint whisper. This is an unapologetic Arabian oud, so if you find synthetic ouds harsh, sample it before buying.
Blue Oud keeps things dark and simple: oud alone up top, leather and patchouli at the heart, tobacco and amber closing an earthy, animalic base without florals or citrus to soften it.
No longevity or sillage figures on record, but the oud-tobacco concentration points to evening and wedding wear in cooler months. AUROME offers it as a 3–15 ml decant from the original Ibraheem Al Qurashi bottle, letting anyone try this unisex blend for a week first.
