Genuine decants, not full bottles

A decant is a smaller portion of an original fragrance in a spray atomiser. Try the opening, heart and full dry-down on your skin before choosing a larger bottle. Spray counts are estimates (about 15 sprays per ml) and depend on the atomiser and how it is pressed.

Is Ana Abiyedh Rouge as sweet as its caramel note makes it sound?

Less than you might expect. The caramel reads closer to salted caramel than dessert sauce, and it is boxed in on both sides: the nashi pear and kumquat keep the opening tart and bright, while the ambergris, musk and oakmoss base pull the finish toward a soft, faintly earthy warmth. The result is a fruity-oriental that stays wearable rather than a straight gourmand, which is why it suits people who usually find caramel scents too rich.

Is Rouge just the original Ana Abiyedh with more sweetness added?

No, the two are built differently. The original Ana Abiyedh runs bergamot and orange into a soft vanilla-and-pear heart over musk and amber, so it stays clean and rounded from start to finish. Rouge keeps a pear note but replaces the vanilla with caramel and geranium, and it lands on ambergris, musk and oakmoss, which gives it a faintly mossy, earthy edge the original does not have. Rouge is the darker and more textured of the two, and the original is the quieter, easier wear.

What does Dhaka heat do to the caramel?

It arrives sooner and louder. Warm skin lifts the caramel and geranium quickly, so the first stretch of a hot day is noticeably sweeter than the same fragrance in cool air. The oakmoss and ambergris underneath are what rescue it, drying the sweetness out into something closer to warm skin than dessert once the pear and kumquat have gone. It works through a Dhaka afternoon, but expect a sweet phase first rather than a bright one throughout.

About this fragranceNotes, the scent, when to wear, and who it is for.

Kumquat and bergamot bring a sharp citrus opening to this eau de parfum (EDP), before caramel and geranium sweeten the heart into something warmer and slightly animalic. Ambergris, musk and oakmoss settle the base into a fresh spicy amber finish.

It works well for a date night or an evening out in Dhaka’s cooler months, where the caramel warmth reads considered rather than sugary. Longevity and sillage both sit at 4 out of 5, so expect it to last well and project comfortably.

Decant sizes here run 5–15 ml, filled from an original Lattafa bottle, to wear before deciding on a full bottle. Unisex, it pairs citrus freshness with animalic depth.
