Closer to the real thing. Manaal opens with the tart, faintly green, slightly sour cut of the stem rather than the sugary rhubarb-compote note a lot of gourmands reach for. Pear rounds it with a watery softness and black currant adds a darker berry edge, so the opening stays fresh and fruit-forward instead of syrupy. It only warms up later, once the orange blossom, tuberose and rose settle in over the creamy sandalwood-hazelnut base.

Not for long. High heat burns through the rhubarb, pear and black currant faster than cool air does, so the tart phase that defines the first wear compresses to a few minutes. What takes over sooner is the white floral heart, and tuberose and orange blossom both get fuller in humidity rather than quieter, so the middle of the wear is heavier here than it would be in winter. The sandalwood and hazelnut base then reads creamier than it does in cold weather, which is worth a lighter hand than usual.
