How is Prada Paradoxe different from Paradoxe Intense?

The original, composed by Daniela Andrier, is the lighter, marshmallow-soft fruity-floral built on pear, orange blossom and vanilla. Paradoxe Intense keeps that base but adds a jammier pear and a green, bitter jasmine-and-oakmoss layer, making it richer and less airy. The original is the more everyday of the two.

There are several Paradoxe versions now, are they all similar?

Not really. Paradoxe (2022) and Paradoxe Intense (2023) share a clear family resemblance, but later releases like Radical Essence (pistachio and sandalwood) and Sweet Chemistry (blackcurrant and vanilla) share almost none of the original's notes. Treat the name as a small collection rather than one consistent scent.

Pear, mandarin, and bergamot open Paradoxe with a fresh, fruity citrus note, before orange blossom, neroli, and jasmine sambac build a fuller white floral heart. The base of vanilla, amber, musk, and benzoin closes it with a warm sweetness.

It suits an office day through the winter wedding season, and equally a winter wedding itself, when a soft white floral feels appropriate. There is no longevity or sillage figure, but as an eau de parfum (EDP), expect a moderate presence that builds over the first hour.

AUROME offers 3–15 ml decants of this, poured from the original Prada bottle, so you can test the scent on your own skin first. For her, it is a soft floral.
