A boozy cocoa-and-tobacco scent. Rose and orange peel open it, a heart of cacao, cognac, tobacco leaf and amber turns it rich and spirituous, and a base of white tobacco, leather and ambergris makes it warm and smoky. So it reads as an antique-style boozy oriental rather than a fresh or sweet modern scent.

It is a faithful reissue. Oriza L. Legrand originally created Horizon in 1925 and reintroduced it in 2013, and the house presents the modern version as following the original formula. So wearing it is meant to be as close to the antique scent as you can get today.

It moves from sweet to boozy. The opening carries an almond-and-cocoa sweetness that gives way to aged cognac, tobacco and leather as it settles, so it ends up drier and smokier than it starts. It is a slow, rich scent built for cool evenings.
