What does Rawda smell like?

A classic oud-anchored oriental. Saffron and agarwood open it with a warm, slightly leathery bite, a rose-and-sandalwood heart softens the middle, and cypriol, musk, amber and more agarwood keep the base deep and resinous. It is the kind of rich, woody rose-oud that suits cooler weather and evenings rather than a hot afternoon.

Is the spray the same as the concentrated oil version?

No, they are different compositions that share a name. This Eau de Parfum is the saffron-and-agarwood oud oriental described here, while Ahmed Al Maghribi also sells a Rawdha concentrated oil that is a softer, aldehydic-powdery rose instead. If you want the oud profile, make sure you are buying the spray rather than the oil.

Saffron and oud open Rawda with a warm, resinous start, before rose, vetiver and sandalwood settle into an earthier heart.

Cypriol, musk, oud and amber close the eau de parfum (EDP) in a warm spicy, earthy dry-down, well matched to an evening, a date or a wedding during the cooler months. Longevity and sillage both sit at 4 out of 5, so expect it to last well and project with real depth.

It is unisex, rosy and oud-forward rather than clearly gendered. As a 5–15 ml decant drawn from the original Ahmed Al Maghribi bottle, it is an easy way to live with the scent before committing to a full size.
