How is Le Parfum different from the original Fahrenheit?

It is the warmer, sweeter cousin. The 1988 original is famous for its sharp violet-leaf and petrol-like bite; Le Parfum drops the gasoline edge and leads with suede, licorice and mandarin over violet leaf, rum and cumin, finishing on bourbon vanilla. The result is smoother, spicier and more leathery than the classic.

Is this the same as Fahrenheit Absolute or Cologne?

No. The Fahrenheit line has several distinct entries: this 2014 Le Parfum is the rum-and-vanilla reading, separate from Fahrenheit Absolute and the lighter Fahrenheit Cologne, so confirm the exact name. It is a reinterpretation, not a stronger pour of the original EDT.

Composed by François Demachy, it is made for him, suited to a winter wedding season here (Nov–Feb) or a formal evening event once the cooler months arrive. Expect long-lasting wear with generous projection, so it carries well through a long night.
