Both, in sequence. It opens genuinely floral, narcissus and indolic jasmine, then rose and watery cyclamen through the heart, but it does not stay there. Oud, patchouli and frankincense rise underneath, and by the dry-down the flowers have mostly given way to a dry, woody-incense base with only a thread of jasmine left. So it is a floral that ends as a resinous woody, which is exactly what makes it more interesting than its marketing suggests.

Close in structure, different in weight. The Louis Vuitton runs Laotian oud, blackcurrant, narcissus, jasmine sambac, rose, cyclamen, patchouli and incense, and this reproduces most of that outline with the blackcurrant left out. Where they part is the wear: the original is thin and airy, with narcissus dominating and the oud staying almost out of sight, while this version pushes oud, patchouli and frankincense harder, so its dry-down is denser and more resinous. Treat it as the heavier reading of the same idea rather than a copy of it.

That depends on how you feel about indole. Warmth amplifies the indolic side of the jasmine and the hay-like edge of the narcissus, so the floral heart turns heavier and more animalic on a humid day than it does in cool air. The frankincense and patchouli underneath hold their shape well in heat, which stops the whole thing from souring. It makes most sense as an evening scent here, with a light hand at midday when the florals are at their loudest.
