Does Spanish Tobacco actually smell of tobacco?

Only faintly. Despite the name and its place in the brand's Tobacco Collection, it reads mostly as a marine fresh, with saffron, tonka and cocoa arranged around an aquatic core and just a whisper of tobacco in the heart. Buy it for the fresh side, not for a smoky tobacco leaf.

Spanish Tobacco starts with a briny marine freshness, sea notes and saffron and tonka, before a warm spicy heart of cacao, amber and tobacco. The dry-down brings iris and woody notes together, keeping the tobacco soft rather than smoky, a lighter take on oriental woody territory.

Both longevity and sillage sit at four out of five, so expect it to hold up through a hot summer commute or a casual day out without turning cloying. The unisex profile and aquatic opening make it a reasonable travel companion too.
