The original is the serious, woody foundation of the line: a dry, herbal oud with rosemary and a suede-like leather, grown-up rather than sweet. The flankers branch off in a fruitier, more gourmand direction, Peach Delulu being the ripe stone-fruit one, built on peach, guava and ginger over caramel. So if you want the structured oud side of Khair, start with this original; if you want playful and sweet, that is what the flankers are for.

Better than a sweet one would. There is no vanilla or sugar in the base to bloom, so warmth pushes the leather and vetiver drier rather than heavier, and the rosemary in the heart keeps a herbal sharpness that humidity does not dull. Davana is the note that shifts most, its fruity, almost apple-like edge turning jammier on hot skin. The amber does add some weight through the afternoon, so it is still more comfortable after sunset than at midday.
