They share Mancera's citrus-woody signature and land in different places. Cedrat Boise opens on Sicilian lemon and black currant and finishes on cedar, leather, sandalwood and vanilla, so it is the sweeter and more leathery of the two. Amberful uses yuzu instead of lemon, which is sharper and more bitter, and its base is amberwood, cedar and moss with no vanilla at all. Cedrat Boise is the rounder one; Amberful is drier and more mineral.

Underneath, and later than the name suggests. The first half hour is almost entirely yuzu, bergamot and pink pepper, bright and sharp, with nutmeg adding a dry spiced edge. Amberwood arrives in the heart and the amber proper only settles in the base alongside cedar and moss, where it reads dry and mineral rather than sweet and resinous. Anyone buying this expecting a warm amber fragrance will spend most of the wear waiting for one.
