One is a leather, the other is a spice cabinet with leather in it. Wild Leather is short and direct: Sicilian bergamot for about thirty seconds, then patchouli, Bulgarian rose and violet over leather, oakmoss and guaiac wood. Black Gold crowds the same base with lavender, cinnamon, nutmeg, oud and a sea note before the leather arrives. Wild Leather is the one to take if the hide note is what you actually want.

It arrives even faster, which is saying something. The bergamot that gives you thirty seconds of brightness in cool air barely registers in high heat, so the cold, dense leather is essentially the opening here. Oakmoss and guaiac wood underneath stay dry and hold their shape in humidity rather than sweetening, so it does not turn heavy so much as skip its introduction. The rose and violet in the heart are what soften on warm skin.
