What does Silver Mountain Water smell like?

Olivier Creed built it around alpine snowmelt: bergamot and mandarin up top, a green tea and blackcurrant heart, and a clean musky base of galbanum, sandalwood and petitgrain. The result is bright, fresh and faintly metallic, a blueprint many fresh musky-citrus scents later followed.

How does it compare to Aventus?

Opinion splits, and the two aim at different moods. Silver Mountain Water is the fresher, tea-forward one, while Aventus is fruitier and smokier around pineapple and birch. If you want a clean fresh-musk reference rather than a bold fruity-smoky profile, Silver Mountain Water is the one to reach for.

Bergamot and mandarin open Silver Mountain Water on a crisp citrus note, green tea and blackcurrant build a verdant heart, and galbanum, musk, sandalwood and petitgrain settle into a clean, woody base.

It’s an easy fit for the office, a casual day or class through summer and the shoulder months, an aromatic fragrance for anyone that stays fresh without trying hard.

Expect it to last well on skin while its sillage stays fairly moderate, closer to a personal scent than a room-filler. AUROME’s 3–9 ml decant is poured from the original Creed bottle, a compact way to try it before anything larger.
