What does Lattafa Maahir smell like?

A fruity floral. Red berries, peach and bergamot open it juicy, a heart of jasmine, peony and red lily adds a soft floral body, and a base of sandalwood, vanilla flower and musk keeps it warm and smooth. So it reads as an easy, slightly sweet fruity-floral rather than a heavy oud or spicy scent. This is the classic gold-bottle Maahir.

How is Maahir different from Maahir Legacy and Black Edition?

They are three separate scents. The classic gold Maahir is this fruity-floral; Maahir Legacy is a fresh aromatic-woody built on citrus and juniper; and Maahir Black Edition is a smoky, leathery incense scent. So choose by profile, not just the name on the box.

Is the classic Maahir a dupe of a designer perfume?

There is no settled comparison for the gold version. The famous Carolina Herrera Good Girl likeness people mention actually belongs to a different Lattafa scent, Qimmah, not Maahir. So treat the classic Maahir as its own fruity-floral rather than a copy of a specific designer.

Berries and peach open Maahir with a soft, sweet fruitiness, before jasmine and peony settle into a delicate white floral heart. Sandalwood, vanilla flower and musk close the dry-down into a warm, powdery, woody finish.

It suits a casual day or an evening date in Dhaka through the cooler months, an easy fragrance for either setting. Expect it to be long-lasting and to project well, so a couple of sprays should be plenty. Unisex, it suits anyone who likes a gentle powdery floral over something sharper. AUROME sells it as a 5–15 ml decant filled from the original Lattafa bottle, a solid way to try it before more.
