They share the same milky vanilla-toffee idea, but they are not the same wear. Eclaire is the straighter sweet-vanilla take; Shaghaf pushes coffee, cardamom, walnut and dates forward, so it comes across darker, spicier and more bakery-like than pure dessert. The faint coffee bitterness that carries into the base is what most sets it apart. Pick this one if you want the toffee idea with a roasted, spiced edge rather than clean sugar.

More easily than most, and cardamom is the reason. Heat tends to flatten sweet notes into one syrupy mass, but the cardamom and the roasted coffee bitterness here cut through that and keep some definition in the opening. The base is still substantial, with brown sugar, benzoin and two forms of vanilla stacked underneath, so it settles close and warm rather than staying light. One or two sprays in the evening is the sensible way to wear it in this climate.
