Is the 2023 Cafe Rose the same as the original 2012 version?

It is a relaunch, not a straight reissue. The 2012 Private Blend original used saffron and black pepper alongside the rose and coffee; the 2023 Signature-line version drops those and adds cardamom, coriander and ylang-ylang. They share the rose-and-coffee idea but smell materially different, so buyers expecting the old formula should know it changed.

Is the coffee note strong?

Less than the name suggests. The coffee reads dry and aromatic, like roasted grounds in a warm room rather than a sweet latte, and it sits level with the rose rather than dominating. For a coffee-rose in a sweeter key, Intense Cafe by Montale leans richer.

Cafe Rose opens with velvety rose and roasted coffee, an unusual pairing that turns warm spicy once cardamom and patchouli join the heart. Sandalwood settles the dry-down into something smoky and grounded rather than sweet.

It suits an intimate dinner date in Gulshan or a cool-season evening out. With longevity and sillage both around a 4, expect it to be long-lasting and to project well through the night.

Cafe Rose is for her, with enough weight to feel considered rather than fleeting. AUROME sells it as a 3–9 ml decant filled from the original Tom Ford bottle, plenty to test before deciding on a full bottle.
