Nathalie Lorson builds on the same twin-vetiver skeleton but fills it out with resins and woods, so A L'Extreme reads richer, smoother and better for evenings than the stark, austere original. Same DNA, with more flesh on the bones.

Cypress and elemi open Encre Noire A L’Extreme with a dark, resinous edge, before vetiver and incense dominate the heart. Benzoin brings a warm, balsamic sweetness to the base.

It’s a cooler-weather fragrance — an office day or a casual outing once Dhaka’s brief winter sets in, rather than the hot months. Longevity and sillage are both rated high, so expect this eau de parfum (EDP) to project well and last from morning into evening. For him, in a woody, aromatic style with real amber depth. AUROME sells it as a 5–15 ml decant filled from the original Lalique bottle, so you can wear it for a while before deciding on a full bottle.
