Myrrh & Tonka opens on a cool sweep of lavender before resinous myrrh takes the heart, an aromatic, warm spicy turn typical of Jo Malone’s restraint. The base turns gourmand without being sugary: tonka bean, vanilla and a touch of almond, closer to warmed marzipan than dessert. That balsamic amber base suits a winter wedding season, November through February, rather than a hot afternoon.
Longevity and sillage both sit at a moderate 3 out of 5, so expect it to stay noticeable without demanding much projection. It wears equally well for him or her. AUROME sells it as a 2–15 ml decant filled from the original Jo Malone bottle, so you can try it through a few wedding-season events first.
