What makes Ashore different from other Amouage scents?

Where the house is known for dense orientals, Ashore works in a light, sun-warmed register: cardamom, turmeric and pink pepper over a solar jasmine heart and an ambergris-sandalwood base. It is one of Amouage's more wearable daytime florals.

Is the turmeric note noticeable?

It is, and it is unusual. Turmeric gives the opening an earthy, golden-spice tint next to the cardamom, keeping the jasmine from reading purely sweet before the ambergris settles in.

Does Ashore smell like sunscreen?

There is a solar accord that lends a warm, skin-and-sunlight feel some associate with beach lotion, but it sits under the spice and jasmine rather than leading, so it reads as a floral rather than a straight suntan scent.

Cardamom, turmeric and pink pepper open this Amouage eau de parfum (EDP) with a warm spicy, unusual start, before jasmine sambac and rose bring a rich white floral heart. Ambergris, sandalwood and olibanum settle into a woody amber base with a faint animalic depth.

It suits a casual day in Dhaka that carries into an evening out during the milder spring or summer months. Longevity and sillage both sit at 4 out of 5, so expect it to last well and project comfortably.

As with all AUROME decants, this comes in 3–9 ml from an original Amouage bottle, to try before any full-bottle decision. Unisex, it suits anyone who wants florals with spice.
