Ghost is bright, Wraith is roasted. Spectre Ghost opens on ginger, bergamot and green notes into cardamom, black currant and Turkish rose, finishing on vanilla, benzoin and sandalwood, so it stays fresh-spicy and slightly floral. Spectre Wraith drops all of that for aged rum and spice up top, coffee, vetiver and patchouli through the heart, and sugarcane underneath. Ghost is the daytime one; Wraith is the late-dinner one.

The coffee anchors it and the rum does not. Roasted coffee, vetiver and patchouli all stay dry on warm skin, which keeps the spine of this intact through a hot evening. The rum accord is the part that shifts, reading sweeter and more syrupy in humidity than the raw, alcoholic edge it has in cool air, and the sugarcane base follows it. That makes the first hour the heaviest part here, which is the reverse of how it behaves in winter.
