Classic vetivers usually lead with the earthy, smoky side of the root. Guerlain Vétiver is the reference point: bergamot and coriander into vetiver and cedar, finishing on tobacco, walnut and pepper. Vetiver Sensuel flips that order: it opens bright on lime, lemon and bergamot, runs a cool mint through the middle, and only reveals a green, grassy vetiver, never a smoky one, late in the wear. So if traditional vetivers read too dark or dry for you, this is the fresher, citrus-forward, daytime way into the note.

This is one of the few in its family that gains from the weather. The lime and lemon go faster in high heat than they do in cool air, but the mint underneath reads cooler on hot skin than it does in winter, and the vetiver, oakmoss and white musk floor stays green instead of turning dusty. The fragrance shortens at the front and holds at the back. That makes it a straightforward daytime choice through a Dhaka summer, which is not true of most of the vetivers it gets compared to.
