By name more than by smell. Paradoxe is a pear-and-neroli floral over bourbon vanilla, amber and musk, and Paradoxe Intense is the same outline with jasmine and oakmoss and a heavier vanilla base. Radical Essence keeps the neroli and orange blossom and replaces everything else with a single pistachio heart over sandalwood. It is the shortest and strangest of the three, and the least likely to satisfy someone who bought the original for its vanilla.
