Is Ombre Leather Parfum just a stronger Ombre Leather?

Not really. Comparisons on Fragrantica and Basenotes treat the Parfum as a genuinely different scent from the 2018 Ombre Leather rather than a concentrated version. Sonia Constant pulled back the jasmine and pushed cedar, tobacco and violet leaf, so the Parfum opens cooler and greener while the original stays a warmer, more straightforward leather. Many wearers actually find the first version the more convincing leather of the two.

What makes the Parfum smell cooler than the original?

The violet leaf. It sits right at the top with cedar and gives a crisp, faintly green-metallic lift the jasmine-heavy first version does not have. That single change is the biggest reason the two smell different despite sharing a name and a leather-and-tobacco base.

Ombre Leather Parfum opens on violet leaf and cedar, a cooler, greener start than the original before jasmine sambac and orris fill in a creamy heart.

Leather, woody notes, tobacco and iris build a dense, animalic base with an ozonic, aquatic edge running underneath it, an unusual combination for a leather fragrance. Longevity is rated a strong 5 out of 5 with sillage at 4, so expect this unisex parfum to last well into a long night.

It belongs to winter and spring_autumn evenings in Dhaka, a wedding, a date, or any occasion after dark. Sonia Constant’s parfum concentration comes as a 3–9 ml decant filled from the original Tom Ford bottle.
