The same rose, put to very different work. Roses Musk is three notes wide, rose over jasmine over musk, and it is built to sit quietly on the skin. Intense Cafe takes a rose of similar weight and pours coffee over it, then finishes on vanilla, white musk and amber, so the flower ends up serving a gourmand rather than standing alone. Roses Musk is the skin scent; Intense Cafe is the bolder, coffee-forward one.

The coffee helps more than you would expect. Roasted coffee stays dry and bitter on warm skin rather than sweetening, which is why it survives this climate better than most gourmand materials. The problem is underneath: vanilla and amber both gain weight in humidity, and there is nothing dry in the base to counter them. The rose also turns jammier as the day warms, and an evening scent here, and one spray goes a long way.
