The musk is the only thing they share. Black Musk is dark and spicy, black pepper and nutmeg into leather, teak and sandalwood over musk, amber and patchouli. Roses Musk is three notes wide, rose over jasmine over musk, and it is built to sit on the skin rather than announce anything. Black Musk is the statement; this is the one you wear when you want to smell like a person rather than a fragrance.

It changes character rather than failing. Rose gets jammier and fuller on warm skin, so the fresh, dewy quality that defines it in cool air turns rounder and sweeter here within the first half hour. Jasmine expands in humidity as white florals do, which makes the middle heavier than the note list suggests. The musk underneath is what keeps it close, and that part does not change, and it becomes a warmer rose in Dhaka, not a broken one.
