They are both real oakmoss chypres sitting at opposite ends of the style. Chypre Mousse is the wilder one: fennel and mint into a mass of oakmoss, fern, mushroom and soil tincture, closer to forest floor than to perfume. Dryad is cultivated where that is feral. Galbanum and tarragon give it a sharp green opening, narcissus and orris hold a proper floral heart, and its oakmoss is framed by Peru balsam and styrax rather than left raw, which is why this is the one you can wear to work.

Better than its reputation suggests, and oakmoss is why. Galbanum, tarragon and thyme are volatile and burn off fast in high heat, so the sharp herbal opening is much shorter here than in a cool European spring. What is left is narcissus over oakmoss and vetiver, and those are dry, earthy materials that keep their shape in humidity instead of sweetening. The apricot in the heart is the one note that gets fuller, and the result is a quieter fragrance in the heat rather than a broken one.
