Because Prada Amber Pour Homme has a long and layered history and the year is the only precise way to describe a bottle. The original arrived in 2006, the Intense followed in 2011, and this decant comes from 2019 production. On a fragrance that is no longer easy to find on shelves, stating the batch year is more useful than leaving a buyer to guess which era of the line they are getting.

Two generations of Prada masculine. Luna Rossa Black is modern and soft, bergamot and angelica over coumarin, amber and musk, deliberately blurred. Amber Intense is the older, more furnished style: bergamot softened by amber from the first second, then myrrh, geranium and orange blossom, closing on leather, labdanum, saffron, tonka and sandalwood. Luna Rossa Black is the easy one; this is the one with a full base underneath it.
